Mykolaiv honored those who died in Russian captivity

Today in Mykolaiv a commemorative event was held to honor the Defenders of Ukraine, participants of volunteer formations, and civilians who were tortured or died in Russian captivity, during which participants laid flowers at the ‘Strings of Memory’ memorial on the Alley of Glory.

The Mykolaiv City Council reported the event.

The ceremony was attended by City Council Secretary Dmytro Falko, Deputy Mayor Serhii Koreniev, the leadership of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration (OVA) and the regional council, representatives of law enforcement agencies, military personnel, and city council staff.

Those present honored the fallen with a minute of silence, after which they laid flowers at the ‘Strings of Memory’ memorial on the Alley of Glory in Mykolaiv as a sign of respect and gratitude to all those killed as a result of Russian armed aggression.
