A tiger cub is being searched for at Mykolaiv Zoo after it left its enclosure overnight from Saturday to Sunday, October 25. At the time of the report, the animal had not yet been found.
The tigress is four and a half months old and is about the size of an adult spaniel. She squeezed through the bars of the enclosure. Staff have already determined how the cub managed to do this.
The search began at around 8:00 a.m. Staff searched the entire zoo grounds, and a dog handler with hunting dogs also joined the effort.
It is thought that the frightened tigress may have hidden somewhere. The search is ongoing, and zoo representatives expressed their gratitude to everyone helping to find the animal.
