In the Mykolaiv region, a company director failed to pay over 4.7 million hryvnias in taxes
During the investigation, the company fully compensated for the damages
In the Mykolaiv Oblast, a 44-year-old director of a limited liability company is suspected of intentional evasion of paying corporate income tax and value-added tax. According to investigators, as a result more than 4.7 million hryvnias were effectively not received by the state budget.
The completion of the pre-trial investigation was reported by the Mykolaiv Oblast Police. The suspect is a resident of the regional center.
Investigators established that the head of the company did not submit the corporate income tax return for 2024 within the period established by law. He later submitted it during an inspection by the controlling authority.
According to investigators, false information was entered into the tax reports regarding the company’s actual revenues and expenses. This led to an understatement of the corporate income tax amount.
The amount of unpaid taxes was confirmed by the results of the expert examinations. In total, more than 4.7 million hryvnias were not received by the state budget.
Investigators informed the man of suspicion of intentional evasion of taxes included in the taxation system, committed by an official of the enterprise. The proceedings were investigated under the signs of a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The unlawful activity was uncovered by investigators of the investigative department of the regional police headquarters with operational support from officers of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Mykolaiv Oblast of the DSR NPU and under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor’s office.
During the pre-trial investigation the company fully reimbursed the state for the amount of unpaid taxes. Due to full compensation of the damages, investigators and prosecutors submitted a motion to the court to exempt the person from criminal liability in accordance with Part 4 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
