9,546 hryvnias: The Cabinet plans to raise the minimum wage

New figures have been included in the draft state budget for 2027

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to set the minimum salary at 9,546 hryvnias in the draft state budget for 2027. That is 899 hryvnias more than in 2026, announced Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

From 1 January 2027 the general subsistence minimum for one person is proposed to be increased to 3,559 hryvnias per month. The increase will be 350 hryvnias, or 10.9%.

For certain population categories the draft provides the following figures:

  • for able-bodied persons — 3,691 hryvnias;
  • for persons unable to work — 2,878 hryvnias.

Currently, from 1 January 2026, the minimum salary in Ukraine is 8,647 hryvnias per month, and the minimum hourly wage is 52 hryvnias.

The general subsistence minimum in 2026 equals 3,209 hryvnias for one person per month. For the main social and demographic groups the following amounts are set:

  • for children under 6 years2,817 hryvnias;
  • for children aged from 6 to 18 years3,512 hryvnias;
  • for able-bodied persons — 3,328 hryvnias;
  • for people who have lost the ability to work — 2,595 hryvnias;
  • for determining by court decisions the additional payments to people who have lost the ability to work and live in territories of radioactive contamination, a figure of 1,600 hryvnias is applied.
