Melania Trump to coordinate a new humanitarian operation in the Kherson region
Four American journalists from the Newsmax television network will cover the humanitarian mission in occupied Oleshky, Kherson region. They will travel to the city to observe the operation and document its progress. Oleshky is located on the left bank of the Dnipro River and is under Russian occupation.
First Lady of the United States Melania Trump described the journalists’ planned involvement in a post on the social media platform X on Thursday, October 29. She herself is to coordinate the new humanitarian operation in the Kherson region.
The American team will work in the city alongside Russian and Ukrainian representatives of humanitarian organizations. As Melania Trump explained, the journalists will act as neutral observers.
Their task will be to independently document the humanitarian operation and prepare documentary materials preserving accounts of events for the future. The team’s participation is intended to ensure independent coverage of the mission.
