Ukraine is ready to cease fire at any moment, however an agreement must be reached on acceptable terms. This, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said in an interview with Latvian television quoted by LSM.

According to Budanov, Kyiv seeks an end to the war but will not agree to ultimatums. He stressed that this stance is the official position of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

It’s a question for Russia. This is an absolutely public, open and official position of Ukraine. We are ready and strive to end the war. Of course, on normal acceptable terms, and not in the form of an ultimatum: like, give us everything, and you’ll still owe us. That will not happen.

The most realistic scenario for ending the war or halting hostilities, the head of the Office of the President said, is an agreement concluded along the de facto front line as of the day the agreement is reached. At the same time, he said, security guarantees for Ukraine are necessary for this.

Of course, without any legal recognition by Ukraine of relinquishing territories. That will not happen, and no one will do that.
