Ukraine, the United States and Europe have prepared a plan to end the war with a buffer zone

Ukraine, together with representatives of the US and European officials, has developed a new package of proposals to end the war with Russia. It is planned to be presented to Moscow.

As The Times writes, citing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the proposed plan provides for a ceasefire, the simultaneous withdrawal of troops from the current front line, and the creation of a buffer zone.

According to the publication, Kyiv worked on these proposals with special representatives of US President Donald Trump and European officials.

Among possible conditions they are also considering security guarantees for Ukraine from European countries and NATO.

The buffer zone may be given a special status. In particular, it concerns a free economic zone format that would be under the control or supervision of a third party.

Earlier, the State Duma of Russia said that the country must finish the war in Ukraine by 2030. This deadline was linked to the European Union‘s rearmament plans.
