Medics in the Kherson region received an armored ambulance to respond during shelling
The vehicle was purchased and modified by British partners
Kherson Oblast has received an armored ambulance vehicle for emergency medical service teams. The vehicle will be used during deployments to dangerous areas where medics work under threat of Russian shelling.
The vehicle was purchased and retrofitted with the support of the British organization Legacy of War Foundation. This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
This is an extremely important assistance for our region. The Russians attack Kherson region every day, including with FPV drones. Medics who are the first to respond to people after strikes work under enemy fire.
During the vehicle’s preparation for operation, representatives of the emergency medical service participated in shaping the technical requirements. This was intended to ensure the vehicle meets the real needs of Kherson region crews.
The vehicle will subsequently be equipped with the necessary medical equipment. If necessary, it will also be additionally modernized.
Earlier, the federal agency for technical relief THW from the German city of Bonn transferred 5 vehicles as humanitarian aid to the Kherson City Territorial Community. Their total value exceeded 162 thousand euros.
