An additional nearly UAH 420 million was allocated for the salaries of officials in frontline regions
The funds will be used to pay the salaries of employees of regional and district military administrations
Mykolaiv Oblast will receive additional state funding to cover the salaries of employees of the regional and district military administrations. In total, the Cabinet of Ministers has distributed 419 million hryvnias among six frontline regions.
The government decision was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergiy Koretskyi.
Besides Mykolaiv Oblast, funding will be provided to Sumy, Odesa, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv Oblasts. According to the head of government, the additional funds are allocated in view of the difficult and dangerous conditions in which the employees of military administrations in frontline regions work.
The Prime Minister Sergiy Koretskyi, speaking about his first working trip to the Sumy region, emphasized that all regions that suffer daily from Russian shelling must receive special support from the state.
“I was in the Sumy region yesterday on my first working trip. The region is under enemy shelling every day. People live and work in extremely difficult conditions. Our duty is to provide all necessary support. Undoubtedly, all frontline regions should receive special attention and support from the government. Today we are allocating 419 million hryvnias for Sumy, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv oblasts. These funds will be directed to pay the salaries of employees of regional and district military administrations,” — said Sergiy Koretskyi.
Separately, the head of government instructed the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons to prepare, by mid-August 2026, a decision to introduce a special status for employees who work in frontline regions and communities.
