At the Mykolaiv City Center for Veteran Support, another Saturday meeting was held for the wives and mothers of defenders. Through meditation and creativity, participants sought their own space for recovery, calm, and inner support.

The session titled “My Inner Shore” was led by the Center’s psychologists Olesya and Hanna. The meeting was built around the image of the sea — a place to pause, exhale, and feel peace.

At first, during meditation, the women imagined their special shore where they could be alone with themselves and restore their strength. Then they transferred these images into clay, creating small plates by hand.

To decorate the pieces, participants used shells, sea sand, and pebbles. The psychologists brought them from the sea to add a bit of warmth and pleasant memories to the session.

Psychologist Olesya explained the idea behind the meeting:

I wanted each woman today, even if only for a little while, to stop, feel support, and be in her own personal space. We often give a lot to others, and today we created a place where you can simply be yourself. The sea became a beautiful metaphor for calm, recovery, and inner support.

During the session, the women discussed what helps them preserve their strength, what they want to keep in their lives, and what they strive to give more space to. The participants also talked, laughed, created, and supported each other.

As a result, each participant completed her own composition, which became a symbol of her personal space and recovery.
