After asphalting, a manhole in Mykolaiv’s Korabelnyi District was left below road level
A resident is asking for the well to be raised, as it is sunk 35 centimeters below ground level
A resident of Mykolaiv’s Korabelnyi district filed a complaint with the city contact center about a sewer manhole on 62A Okeanivska Street. According to her, after the road was asphalted, the manhole ended up 35 centimeters below the road surface. She is asking for help raising it to road level and bringing it into proper condition.
The photo attached to the complaint shows bricks laid around the manhole. An object resembling a plastic table sits on top of the metal sheets.
The resident points out that there is no proper cover: the opening is covered with a sheet of metal. She claims that this covering lets road debris get inside, clogging the sewer drains.
According to the woman, the substantial difference in height between the manhole and the road creates unpredictable situations. She is also concerned about the condition of the manhole itself.
The complainant says she has repeatedly asked the water utility administration to resolve the problem. However, she says the issue remains unresolved.
