"'He smashed his own head,' TCK reacted to the video that went viral on social media."
According to the TCK, physical force was allegedly not used against the man
Another scandal has erupted in Volyn over the actions of employees of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support after a video of an incident in the settlement of Ratne circulated on social networks. In the footage, witnesses report, a man was allegedly forcibly dragged into a car directly from his yard, and later a photo showing a head injury appeared online.
The Volyn Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support responded. In its statement, the center said the incident occurred on May 1 during the notification of citizens.
According to the Volyn Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, three people attempted to avoid communication with the notification group and flee. Subsequently, the center claims, these citizens actively resisted the lawful actions of police officers and representatives of the territorial recruitment center.
The center also reported that military personnel were injured in the incident and an official service vehicle was damaged. The identities of all participants are currently being established by law enforcement officers.
Separately, the Volyn center emphasized that none of the citizens presented military registration documents, which, according to the center, violated the requirements of current Ukrainian legislation.
Regarding the injured man, the center stated that his bodily injuries were not the result of a beating but occurred due to his own carelessness. At the same time, military personnel, according to the official version, escorted him to a medical facility to provide assistance.
The Volyn center asserts that no physical force was applied to the person liable for military service.
“We also report that one of the persons liable for military service, as a result of his own carelessness, sustained bodily injuries. Military personnel of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support ensured his escort to a medical facility to provide the necessary assistance. We note that no physical measures were applied to this citizen by the military personnel, and the citizen has no complaints about the actions of the Territorial Center’s military personnel”, – the statement reads.
The territorial center also denied information circulated in some sources alleging that the injured man was in a coma. The center stated that these reports are not true.
In its appeal, the Volyn Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support once again called on citizens to comply with current legislation, carry military registration documents with them, and not resist the lawful actions of authorized persons.
