Couldn't avoid each other: a GAZelle, a Mazda and an Audi collided on the highway near Mykolaiv
Bloody crash on the H‑24 highway: three injured, including a teenager — Audi driver was cut out of the car
In the Voznesensk district on the morning of May 1, 2026, a serious road traffic accident involving three vehicles occurred. At about 09:00 on the H-24 «Blahovishchenske-Mykolaiv» road near the turn to the village of Ivanivka, a light-duty truck GAZelle, a crossover Mazda CX-5 and a passenger car Audi A6 collided.
According to preliminary data, the GAZelle was driven by a 34-year-old man, the Mazda CX-5 was driven by a 33-year-old woman, and a 53-year-old driver was in the Audi A6. It was the latter who had to be extricated from the mangled car by rescuers — the man was freed and hospitalized.
The truck driver and his 17-year-old passenger were also injured. Their condition is being clarified; it is known that they sustained injuries of varying severity. At the same time, the crossover driver did not require medical assistance.
Investigators have already opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of road traffic safety rules. Under this article the offender may face up to three years of restriction of liberty.
Currently law enforcement officers are establishing all circumstances of the accident. The police are asking potential witnesses to report any information about the crash by calling 093-064-76-40 or 102, or to contact Police Department No. 3 of the Voznesensk district police administration.
