The storm also massively damaged power grids. According to the State Emergency Service, 1121 settlements in Ukraine were left without power.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine urged citizens to be extremely cautious during the severe weather. Rescuers continue to operate in an intensified mode.
Mykolaiv also felt the effects of the bad weather. Earlier Korabelov.Info reported that after the storm on 26 April trees fell in various neighbourhoods of the city: in Balabanivka one fell on a shop, on Bohoyavlensky Avenue a tree fell on the so-called Shyrokobal section, and on Yevheniya Loginova Street, 15-A a tree crushed cars, damaged a heating main, windows and balconies.
After such incidents the issue of hazardous trees no longer looks like simply a “municipal trifle”. When trees fall on transport, houses, power lines or people, it becomes a matter of safety, responsibility of services and timely response to residents’ appeals.
