Four Mykolaiv athletes received awards for medals at the European Championships and the World Cup
Their coaches also received monetary rewards
In Mykolaiv, cash prizes were awarded to four athletes from the city’s sports schools and their coaches. The athletes won medals at international competitions and represented the city on European and world sporting stages.
Certificates for cash rewards were received by:
- Maksut Sultanov — European champion in Greco-Roman wrestling among youth. The competition was held 4–8 July 2026 in Skopje, North Macedonia. His coach is Oleg Balamutov.
- Oleksandr Hartsev — silver medalist of the European championship in canoe and kayak among juniors and U23. The championship took place 23–26 July 2026 in Szeged, Hungary. The athlete’s coach is Halyna Zatuliviter.
- Valeria Peremeta — bronze medalist at a World Cup stage in rhythmic gymnastics (group exercises). The competition was held 10–12 July 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany. Her coach is Svitlana Peremeta.
- Nazar Kliuchko — bronze medalist of the European youth boxing championship. The tournament took place 11–22 August 2026 in Loznica, Serbia. His coach is Volodymyr Bukalov.
From the city budget, the athletes received certificates for 30,000 hryvnias, and the coaches — for 20,000 hryvnias.
The attendees were greeted by Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych. He thanked the coaches for their work under difficult conditions and challenges, and the athletes for their perseverance and achievements.
