Fake employment for residence permits: scheme to legalize foreigners exposed in the Kyiv region

In the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers exposed a man who organized a scheme for the illegal legalization of citizens of other countries on the territory of Ukraine. To do this, he issued fake employment invitations to one of the limited liability companies. The organizer of the scheme has been notified of suspicion; he faces up to 7 years of imprisonment.

The unlawful activity was stopped by officers of the Migration Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv Oblast as part of the operation “Migrant”.

According to law enforcement, the suspect organized the preparation of fake documents that allegedly confirmed the employment of foreigners in a Ukrainian company. These documents were subsequently used to obtain temporary residence permits in Ukraine, as well as to cross the state border.

During searches at the suspect’s place of residence and in his vehicles, law enforcement officers found and seized material evidence that may confirm his involvement in organizing the illegal scheme.

Investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Fastiv District Prosecutor’s Office, notified the organizer of suspicion under part 2 of Article 369-2 and part 2 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
