A moped rider in the Mykolaiv region drove into oncoming traffic and into a ditch
A 20-year-old man was hospitalized; his condition is assessed by medical staff as stable
In the Mykolaiv district on the evening of October 3, a traffic accident occurred involving a moped YAMAHA Jog. Its 20-year-old rider sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized. Medics currently assess the man’s condition as stable.
According to the police, the accident occurred at approximately 23:20 on the «Odesa–Melitopol–Novoazovsk» highway. The man was traveling from Koblevo toward Mykolaiv.
Preliminarily, law enforcement established that the rider lost control: the moped entered the oncoming lane and then into a ditch. Police are still determining all the circumstances and causes of the accident.
Investigators have preliminarily classified the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by persons operating vehicles.
