In the Korabelnyi district of Mykolaiv, a 75-year-old woman fell and broke her arm on a dug-up road with no signs or barriers

In Mykolaiv, during road repair works near 3-D Olega Olzhycha St. a 75-year-old pensioner fell and was injured: the woman suffered a broken arm and facial injuries.

The incident was reported by resident Svitlana in the group “Contact Center at the Mykolaiv City Council”, posting a statement with details of the incident and photos of the fall site at the link here.

The incident occurred near the building at 3-D Olega Olzhycha St., where an excavation is ongoing due to repairs, and this section lies on the route to the terminus of route No. 2, which makes safe passage for passengers difficult.

“The entire section is dug up, so people cannot safely get to the terminus of route No.2. At the same time, there are no warning signs or barriers. Because of this, a 75-year-old woman was injured – she fell, sustained facial injuries and a broken arm. Who is responsible for such a situation? Passage through this section is practically impossible, and it was extremely difficult for the ambulance crew to reach the injured person,” reported Mykolaiv resident Svitlana in the group “Contact Center at the Mykolaiv City Council”.

The appeal was received and registered by the Emergency Response Service, so the responsible services are expected to provide a response to the complainant shortly.
