Supervisory boards will be established in six colleges in the Mykolaiv region

Supervisory boards will be created at six communal institutions of professional pre-higher education in Mykolaiv Oblast. Deputies approved the corresponding decision during a session of the Mykolaiv Regional Council on September 10.

The draft provides for the approval of regulations on the supervisory board of a professional pre-higher education institution that is in the joint ownership of the territorial communities of villages, settlements and cities of Mykolaiv Oblast. The initiative is linked to compliance with the requirements of Article 38 of the Law of Ukraine “On Professional Pre-Higher Education”.

As explained by the manager of affairs of the executive apparatus of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, Tetiana Labartkava, the oblast has six professional pre-higher education institutions in communal ownership that operate in various fields. Supervisory boards are planned to be created in the following colleges:

• Mykolaiv Professional College of Musical Arts;
• Mykolaiv Professional College of Culture and Arts;
• Mykolaiv Professional College of Physical Culture;
• Novobuzh Professional Pedagogical College;
• Mykolaiv Basic Medical Professional College;
• Pervomaisk Medical Professional College.

After the regulations are approved, each institution must form the personal composition of the supervisory board. The document establishes uniform requirements for the creation and operation of such boards.

Before the issue was brought to the session, members of the relevant committee of the Mykolaiv Regional Council unanimously supported the draft regulations. During the vote, 35 deputies supported the decision, and another 9 did not vote. There were no votes “against” or “abstentions”.
