Driver's licenses with a surprise: transport operators in Mykolaiv are being inspected
The Patrol Police of Mykolaiv region reported May 4, 2026 about the discovery of a driver who was using a forged license. The violation was detected during an inspection by the road safety department of drivers who provide passenger transport services.
Police noticed in one of the drivers a driver’s license with clear signs of forgery.
According to the patrol officers, this driver was also performing international passenger transportation. Inspectors removed the man from driving the vehicle. Investigators were called to the scene to establish all the circumstances of the case and give a legal assessment of the documents found.
The situation is particularly alarming, because this is not merely a formal check of documents, but concerns the safety of the passengers the driver transported, including on international routes. If the license is indeed forged, the question arises how such a person was allowed to carry out transportation in the first place.
