Traffic accident involving police in Mykolaiv: a police Skoda crashed into a Toyota, frightening its female driver
Law enforcement officer driving an official vehicle caused a collision: case files sent to court
In Mykolaiv a road traffic accident occurred involving a police service vehicle. The Mykolaiv region police reported this on April 30 2026.
The accident happened the same day, at about 09:20, in the area of the intersection of Avenue Tsentralnyi with Buznyk Street Buznyk. At the scene, law enforcement officers established that a 40-year-old police officer of the Mykolaiv district department, while driving a service vehicle Skoda Rapid, collided with a Toyota Camry, behind the wheel of which was a 44-year-old female driver.
Based on the sobriety test results, it was determined that both drivers were sober.
No people were injured as a result of the accident. Both vehicles sustained mechanical damage.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the police officer under Art. 124 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences. The materials will be sent to the court for a decision. A service investigation has also been launched into the accident involving the law enforcement officer, during which all circumstances of the incident are to be established.
