Rescuers carried a 58-year-old man out of a burning apartment in Mykolaiv; 14 fires in the region in 24 hours
Preliminary cause of the fire — a violation of the rules for using gas appliances; the rescued person refused hospitalization
Over the course of April 26 in Mykolaiv Oblast, units of the State Emergency Service (DSNS) extinguished 14 fires, of which 7 were in the residential sector.
According to the Main Directorate of the DSNS in Mykolaiv Oblast, one of the incidents occurred in Mykolaiv: an apartment on the ground floor of a multi-apartment building caught fire, neighbors noticed the smoke and called rescuers, who brought a 58-year-old man out into the fresh air; he refused hospitalization, and the preliminary cause of the fire is cited as a violation of safety rules while using gas appliances.
Fire outbreaks were also recorded in the districts of the oblast: in the Voznesensk Raion a non-residential building and a residential house burned, in Pervomaiskyi — a summer kitchen and an outbuilding, and in Mykolaiv Raion ignitions occurred in an outbuilding with firewood and in a hayloft with hay.
Separately, a car fire was recorded in Voznesensk, where an Opel Vectra was ablaze.
Another 6 incidents involved the burning of dry grass and reeds in various communities of the oblast, including in Mykolaiv.
A total of 56 rescuers and 14 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fires.
