Russia is ready to resume talks without stopping hostilities — Lavrov

15 September the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, said that Russia is ready to resume negotiations over the war against Ukraine. He named the corresponding readiness of the other side as the condition. The Russian minister’s remarks were reported by Russian media.

“Russia can certainly resume negotiations if the other side is ready for this,” said Sergey Lavrov.

At the same time, the head of the Russian foreign ministry emphasized that Moscow does not plan to halt combat operations for the duration of the negotiation process.

According to the Financial Times, Vladimir Putin does not want to conclude an energy truce with Ukraine before winter.
