20 fires in the past 24 hours, two after Russian attacks: report of the State Emergency Service of Mykolaiv Oblast
A farm outbuilding and dry brush caught fire in the Kutsurub community
13 September and during the night of 14 September units of the State Emergency Service of Mykolaiv region extinguished 20 fires. Two of them resulted from Russian attacks. No casualties.
In the Kutsurub territorial community of the Mykolaiv district firefighters extinguished a fire in an outbuilding and dry grass. One more fire caused by an attack — of dry vegetation and shrubs — was extinguished on an open area in the same district.
A number of minor fires occurred in the private sector. Rescuers extinguished:
- a kitchen in a residential building;
- two buildings that are not in use;
- food that burned on stoves in two apartments;
- electrical wires on a metal kiosk that caught fire due to a short circuit in the electrical network.
In other cases the units extinguished fires of dry grass, crop residues, garbage and other fires.
From the State Emergency Service more than 70 personnel and 19 units of equipment were involved. Additionally, firefighters from local fire guards were involved in the extinguishing.
