The Government of Ukraine has delivered to communities in Mykolaiv Oblast 27 transformers and additional energy equipment, purchased with funds from a grant by the Government of Japan, to prepare the region for the heating season.

The delivery was reported on his Telegram channel by Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi, noting that the equipment will be directed at strengthening and preparing the region’s energy infrastructure for the winter period (link).

“As the experience of five winters under Russian energy terror has shown, a stock of equipment and the ability to quickly restore services are a strategic necessity,” said Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi.

The head of government also said that the Cabinet of Ministers will continue to seek additional opportunities to strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience, with a focus on frontline regions.

The received transformers and other equipment are intended to boost the networks’ readiness for winter loads and help restore the power system more quickly in the event of new damage.
