Power Outages Outside the Schedule: Emergency Blackouts Introduced in Parts of Ukraine

Previously published outage schedules are temporarily suspended in those regions of Ukraine where emergency power cuts were introduced today, Friday, October 23. These restrictions were imposed in certain regions, not nationwide.

Emergency outages became necessary because of the difficult situation in the power system, caused by the aftermath of Russian shelling.

The situation may change, so consumers are advised to check the latest information on the official pages of their regional electricity distribution operators.

Ukrainians who currently have electricity are urged to use it sparingly. This will help reduce the strain on the power system.

Energy workers are working to stabilize the system as quickly as possible and restore reliable electricity supply. Emergency outages will be lifted once the situation in the power system improves.
