In the Mykolaiv region, more than 43 hectares of open land burned in a single day
The fire flared up twice due to shelling
Over the past day, there were 30 fires in the open areas of the Mykolaiv region, two of which were caused by shelling. The total area burned exceeded 43 hectares.
Dry grass, rubbish, shrubs, crop residues and flax in a field burned. In the Mykolaiv district the flames twice spread to an outbuilding and an unused residential building. In the Voznesensk district the fire spread to the leaf litter of the forest.
Another two fires occurred in the private sector. In the Mykolaiv district rescuers extinguished a garage fire, and in the Bashtanka district — a MAN truck.
All the blazes were extinguished by rescuers and firefighters of local fire brigades: “Podillia”, “Martynivske”, “Horokhivske”, “Shcherbani”, “Oleksandrivka”, “Buzke” and “Shevchenkove”.
