The government is directing UAH 11.2 billion from the reserve fund to strengthen the resilience of cities

Funding will make it possible to quickly start construction of new protective infrastructure according to community plans

The government at its next meeting plans to allocate from the state budget reserve fund 11.2 billion hryvnias to implement resilience plans for cities, in order to accelerate the construction of new protective solutions for critical infrastructure in frontline regions and Kyiv. This was announced by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko after a meeting of the Coordination Center for the implementation of resilience plans.

As the head of government noted, the decision was prepared based on the results of interagency work and is aimed at the urgent reinforcement of facilities that ensure the continuity of community life. She published the details in her post on Telegram.

The prime minister emphasized that the priority funding needs have already been identified for the regions at greatest risk, as well as for the capital.

“We have formed the priority funding needs to protect critical infrastructure facilities in nine frontline regions and Kyiv,” she said following the meeting of the Coordination Center for the implementation of resilience plans.

According to government officials, a list of 210 critical infrastructure facilities has been compiled, where preparatory work will begin in the coming days.

Funding of 11.2 billion hryvnias is planned to be directed from the state budget reserve fund, which will allow for the rapid deployment of construction and installation of new protective elements, Yuliia Svyrydenko emphasized.
