UAH 1,500.88 per person: a calculation for social housing has been prepared in Mykolaiv
The figure in the draft resolution is not the average market rent
A draft decision has been prepared in Mykolaiv on the estimated rent per person for social housing registration and the provision of social housing. For the third quarter of 2026, this figure is 1,500.88 hryvnias. The draft was prepared by the Mykolaiv City Council’s Assets Department.
This is the imputed rental cost—a special social indicator, not the average market price of renting an apartment in the city. It is intended to be used when applying social housing legislation: when deciding whether to register citizens for social housing and when providing accommodation from the social housing fund.
The calculation is based on monitoring the minimum rental prices for one-bedroom apartments in the city during July, August, and September. Prices were analyzed separately for each month of the quarter.
The documents provide for the calculation of the following figures:
- the minimum rental cost of one square meter of housing;
- the minimum rent per person;
- the final imputed rental cost of housing.
The explanatory note names the Housing Registration and Allocation Unit of the City Council’s Assets Department as the developer of the draft. The document was prepared in accordance with resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine governing the provision of social housing and the calculation of its imputed rental cost. The minutes of the Supervisory Board for Social Housing Allocation, dated October 14, 2026, were also taken into account.
