The origin of fish was checked at two markets in Mykolaiv
The raid covered the Central Market and the “Kolos” Market
Yesterday, October 26, the State Environmental Inspectorate of the South-Western District conducted a raid in Mykolaiv. State environmental inspectors checked whether fish was being sold legally and whether environmental laws were being followed during the sale of aquatic biological resources.
The inspection covered the following marketplaces:
- Central Market;
- Kolos Market.
The inspectors focused primarily on documents confirming the legal origin of the products. Properly documented sales make it possible to establish where the goods came from and ensure compliance with the requirements in force.
The purpose of such raids is to prevent the illegal trade in aquatic biological resources and promote the responsible use of natural resources.
However, the inspection announcement did not specify whether any violations were found or what measures were taken.
