In Kyiv, a man is suspected of sexually abusing his 4-year-old nephew

In Kyiv, a man is suspected of sexual violence against his 4-year-old nephew. The investigation believes the uncle committed sexual acts against the child and recorded them on his phone. The Office of the Prosecutor General reported the case.

The man came to law enforcement attention after downloading videos of child pornography from the Internet. During a search, authorities seized 187 such files, and photographs of the nephew were found on the mobile phone.

Work with psychologists confirmed the boy’s testimony. The child said that the uncle performed lewd sexual acts and forbade him from telling others about it.

The man lived with his mother, whom the grandson visited. When the grandmother was not at home, the boy stayed alone with the uncle, who recorded his actions on his mobile phone.

On September 21, the man was charged under several provisions of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: sexual violence against a person who has not reached 14 years of age, indecent acts against a minor, as well as the production and possession of child pornography.

According to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until their guilt is proven by a guilty verdict in court.
