Nearly a million will be spent on the square opposite the administration in the Korabelnyi district of Mykolaiv

The Administration of the Korabelnyi District of Mykolaiv has signed a contract for the current repair of part of the pedestrian square near the apartment building at Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue, 285. The cost of the works is UAH 904.9 thousand.

In the procurement through the Prozorro system, two companies competed. The winner was LLC «TransBud-Yug Plus», which agreed to carry out the order for UAH 904,900 excluding VAT. The contract with the contractor was signed for this amount, while the expected cost had reached UAH 1,010,801.

The repair will cover over 492 square meters on the north side of the building. This concerns the area between the apartment building at Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue, 285 and the road on Metalurhiv Street.

In response to a request from the publication MykVisti, the district administration explained that this site is in an unsatisfactory technical condition. The asphalt has significant damage and potholes, and vehicles regularly drive onto the sidewalk without permission.

The administration emphasized that the area has a high daily load:

“A large number of people use this square daily: residents of the residential neighborhood and visitors to a number of retail businesses located at this address. In addition, there is unauthorized vehicle access onto the sidewalk area. This was the reason for planning the repair works of the square.”

Due to limited budget funding in 2026, it will not be possible to restore the entire square, so the contractor will work only on part of the territory.

According to the defect report, the following works are planned:

• removal of the existing asphalt concrete pavement and curbstones;
• installation of road channels;
• loading and removal of construction debris;
• installation of small metal structures;
• preparation of a concrete base;
• laying of pavement from small-sized shaped elements;
• installation of a traffic light on a pole;
• performing ancillary works to tidy the area.

Adjacent to the square, the asphalt surfacing of the parking spaces was recently repaired. Next, the pedestrian part is to be brought into order. The winner of the tender must complete the works provided for in the contract by 31 December 2026.
