The United States said there has been "substantial progress" in negotiations to end the war

The United States announced significant progress in the peace process after trips by the special representative of the U.S. president Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv. Witkoff wrote about this on the social network X.

American representatives traveled to the capitals of Russia and Ukraine on behalf of U.S. President Donald Trump. The purpose of the meetings was to facilitate further dialogue toward ending Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Following the talks the American side reported not only progress, but also agreement on a schedule for further trilateral meetings. At the same time, specific dates and other details of the upcoming negotiations have not yet been released.

“Significant progress has been made, including agreement on a schedule for additional trilateral talks. President Trump is making every effort to stop the killings and achieve a lasting and durable peace,” said Steve Witkoff.
