"She was only 3 years old": father suspected of sexually abusing his own daughter
The prosecution sought pre-trial detention, the court granted bail
In Kyiv a 42-year-old man was notified of suspicion of the sexual corruption of his own underage daughter and of forcing her to participate in the production of child pornography. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, the illegal actions against the child began in the spring of 2024, when the girl was only 3 years old.
Law enforcement reports that the man committed lewd acts against his own daughter, called it a “game” and photographed what was happening.
During a search, law enforcement officers found relevant photographic materials. Officials also discovered video files containing child pornography on the man, which, according to the investigation, were downloaded from the Internet.

The actions of the 42-year-old suspect were classified as the corruption of a minor committed by a family member, as well as the production of child pornography and forcing a minor child to participate in the creation of such materials.
The man is charged under part 2 of article 156, part 1 and part 4 of article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Procedural supervision in the criminal proceedings is being carried out by juvenile prosecutors of the Obolon District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Kyiv.
Prosecutors asked the court to impose pretrial detention on the suspect. However, the court set bail for him in the amount of 332,000 UAH.
The prosecution did not agree with this decision and is appealing it. The prosecution insists on keeping the suspect in custody.
In accordance with article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until their guilt is proven by a court conviction.
