Police uncovered a man suspected of committing sexual offenses against children
The store owner is suspected of producing and distributing prohibited materials of a sexual nature
In Kyiv law enforcement officers reported suspicion of a 53-year-old man who is suspected of crimes related to the production, possession and distribution of prohibited materials involving children. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the man owns a shop selling ballroom shoes and dance accessories located near children’s sports sections. Law enforcement officers claim that he corresponded with children via Telegram and offered them monetary rewards for sending materials of a sexual nature. In addition, according to investigators, he distributed pornographic content through his own Instagram account.
The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and was notified of suspicion under Part Three of Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The penalty under this article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment.
