Over the past 24 hours in the Mykolaiv region, 33 fires occurred: the fires burned through more than 20 hectares

August 9 in the territory of Mykolaiv region 33 fires were recorded. Six of them occurred in the residential sector. In all cases there were no casualties.

In the residential sector apartments, houses and outbuildings were on fire:

• in Mykolaiv the balcony and a room of an apartment on the fourth floor of a nine-story residential building were on fire. The fire area was 5 sq. m;
• in the Domanivka community of Voznesensk district, in the village of Domanivka, a house that is currently not in use burned on an area of 7 sq. m;
• in the village of Velykozabolotne an outbuilding caught fire on an area of 10 sq. m;
• in the village of Kutsurub of the Kutsurubska community, Mykolaiv district an outbuilding on the territory of a private household caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire on an area of 20 sq. m;
• in the village of Blahodatne of the Chornomorsk community a room of a two-room apartment on the first floor was on fire. The fire area was 20 sq. m. The owners managed to extinguish the fire before the arrival of the State Emergency Service (SES) unit;
• in the village of Yavkyne of the Bashtanka community, Bashtanskyi district a residential house burned on an area of 20 sq. m.

Other fires occurred in open areas and near the residential sector: dry grass, bushes, post-harvest residues and garbage were burning. Most such incidents were recorded in the districts of the region and the regional center:

• Bashtanskyi district — 8 fires;
• Mykolaiv district — 7 fires;
• Voznesensk district — 6 fires;
• Mykolaiv — 5 fires;
• Pervomaiskyi district — 1 fire.

The total area affected by fire exceeded 20 hectares. Fire-rescue units responded to all incidents.

During firefighting, firefighters from the local fire brigades of the villages Shevchenkove, Zavodske, Oleksandrivske and the Halytsynivskyi detachment were additionally involved.
