Over the past 24 hours in Mykolaiv Oblast, 48 fires occurred: the flames swept across more than 43 hectares

During August 7 and the night of August 8, 48 fires were recorded in Mykolaiv Oblast. Two of them were caused by the impact of munitions and their fragments.

There were 39 fires in open areas, of which two were due to shelling. Dry grass, garbage, shrubs, crop residues and reeds burned.

In three cases the flames spread to outbuildings in the Voznesensky, Mykolaiv and Bashtansky districts. Also, in the Voznesensky district a coniferous needle litter burned. The total area affected by the fire exceeded 43 hectares.

All fires were extinguished by rescuers and firefighters of local units:

• «Prybuzke»;
• «Oleksandrivka»;
• «Vradiivka»;
• «Horokhivske»;
• «Rybakivka»;
• local fire team «Pryvilne»;
• local fire-rescue unit «Kobleve».

Another four fires occurred in the private sector. Rescuers extinguished three buildings that were not in use in the Bashtansky and Mykolaiv districts and in the city of Mykolaiv. One more farm building on the grounds of a private homestead was extinguished in the Bashtansky district.
