Over the past 24 hours, more than 50 hectares burned in the Mykolaiv region: 36 fires in open areas

Over the past day firefighters extinguished in Mykolaiv region 36 fires of dry vegetation, crop residues and garbage on open areas and within the private sector. Overall the fire affected more than 50 ha.

In the Bashtanka district rescuers three times put out fires caused by Russian attacks of UAVs. In the village of Novopetrivka a storage facility of an agricultural enterprise was burning, and in two other communities dry grass was on fire.

One of the large dry-grass fires occurred in the Mykolaiv district. The blaze covered 15 ha and spread to the roof of a building over an area of 20 sq m. Units of the State Emergency Service (SES) stopped the fire from spreading to other structures.

In the private sector rescuers also extinguished:

• a residential house of 100 sq m in the Kryvoozerska territorial community of Pervomaiskyi district;
• an outbuilding in the Pryvilnenska territorial community of Bashtanka district.
