A parked Touareg was making a U-turn — a 17-year-old motorcyclist was injured
On Saturday morning near the hospital on Kurortna Street, the injured person was taken away by an ambulance; after receiving treatment he returned to the scene of the incident
On the morning of Saturday, July 18, on Kurortna Street in Mykolaiv a Volkswagen Touareg and a Lifan motorcycle collided, as a result of which the 17-year-old rider of the two-wheeler was injured.
According to the victim, who spoke with a correspondent of Novini-N, he was riding along Kurortna Street (formerly Butomi) from the side of General Oleksa Almazov Street toward Ozerna Street, when a Volkswagen Touareg parked at the curb near the hospital suddenly moved and began to turn around in the opposite direction, after which the motorcycle struck the SUV’s left rear wing.
As a result of the impact the 17-year-old motorcyclist fell onto the asphalt and sustained injuries; an ambulance took him from the scene to the hospital, where he received first aid, after which he returned to the scene; preliminarily both knees and both arms were injured.
While paperwork is being completed, an investigator is working at the scene to establish all the circumstances of the crash.
After the collision the Volkswagen Touareg ended up across the carriageway, and the motorcycle lay on the road, completely blocking the lane toward General Almazov Street, which caused traffic complications.
