Crash on Central: after colliding with a Nissan, the motorcyclist was hospitalized

In the city center of Mykolaiv a road traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a passenger car occurred. As a result of the collision the rider of the two-wheeled vehicle was injured. This was reported on 3 June 2026 by the Mykolaiv region police.

According to law enforcement, the accident happened at about 13:00 on Central Avenue, near the intersection with Hromadyanska Street. There a Honda CBR motorcycle, ridden by a 23-year-old man, collided with a Nissan Qashaqai car driven by a 36-year-old female driver. After the collision the motorcycle rider was hospitalized with bodily injuries.

Police are currently establishing all the circumstances of this road incident. Investigators have provisionally qualified the event under the elements of a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of traffic safety rules or the operation of transport by persons who drive vehicles. The article’s sanction provides for punishment of up to three years’ restriction of liberty.

The Transport Crimes Investigation Department of the investigative directorate appeals to citizens who have any information about the circumstances of the accident. Witnesses are asked to call the numbers: 098-351-03-55 or 102. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
