A 13-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized after a collision with a Renault Trafic and a Hyundai Accent
The incident was classified under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine; the teenager's condition is stable
On Monday, June 1, in the city of Pervomaisk a road traffic accident involving three vehicles occurred, injuring a 13-year-old motorcyclist; the Mykolaiv region police are clarifying the circumstances of the incident.
According to preliminary data, at around 21.00 on Hrushevskoho Street the 49-year-old driver of a Renault Trafic minibus collided with a Lifan LF200–10M motorcycle, which was being ridden by a 13-year-old teenager, after which the latter lost control and crashed into a parked Hyundai Accent.
Investigators qualified the incident under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine as a violation of traffic safety rules by a person operating a vehicle, the sanction of which provides for up to 3 years’ restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive for the same period.
Law enforcement reminded that operating a motorcycle is permitted from age 16 with a driver’s license and all required documents, and in the case of a minor operating it, the parents are also held responsible.
