In the city of Biała Podlaska on the morning of Monday, June 15, an armed attack took place: in broad daylight a 44-year-old Russian citizen was shot dead, and Polish media unofficially name the deceased as the artist Semen Skrepetsky, known for his criticism of the Russian leadership, notably Vladimir Putin.
The incident was reported by wPolsce24, which notes that the circumstances of the event “bear the signs of a political murder.”
According to unofficial information, this concerns Russian artist and political émigré Semen Skrepetsky, who openly opposed the current authorities in the Russian Federation.
Media reports specify that the victim was shot dead in broad daylight.
The likely perpetrator of the crime, preliminarily identified as a citizen of Belarus, was detained near the Belarusian consulate in Biała Podlaska.
