Ukrainian Championship in Zhovkva: Mykolaiv cyclists won 9 medals, of which four were gold
Among the prize-winners were juniors and younger age groups; the team was prepared by six coaches of the Mykolaiv Specialized Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve
Athletes from Mykolaiv won 9 medals at the Ukrainian road cycling championships under the track program for juniors and younger age categories, held from 24 to 26 April in the city of Zhovkva in Lviv Oblast.
The city council reported that competitors from various regions of the country took part, and the pupils of the local SDYUSSHOR for cycling ensured Mykolaiv‘s presence among the tournament’s medalists.
Gold was won by Artem Andriievskyi, Illia Narayevskyi, Luiza Shulhina and Darya Dyachenko, so the team’s tally included four top awards.
Silver medals were won by Dmytro Katasonov, Pavlo Telepnia, Illia Narayevskyi and Anzhelika Verlatova, adding four more podium places.
Amina Mardirossian received the bronze award, bringing the team’s final statistics to 9 medals, including 4 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze.
The athletes were prepared for the competition by coaches Oleksandr Kravtsov, Stanislav Nebaba, Mykhailo Kravets, Oleksandr Sadovskyi, Vasyl Horbachuk and Andrii Kost.
