Melania Trump hopes the path to peace will begin in Oleshky
The US First Lady pinned her hopes on the humanitarian mission
First Lady of the United States Melania Trump hopes that the humanitarian mission to rescue residents of occupied Oleshky in Kherson region will be a starting point on the path toward lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia. In a post on X, she linked the successful rescue of people to hopes for an end to the war.
Describing the changes for residents of the city and surrounding areas, the First Lady emphasized the opportunities that, she said, the ceasefire had provided:
“A renewed spirit. The ceasefire in Oleshky and the surrounding areas of Kherson region has given residents the opportunity to move freely, access food, clean water, and medicine, and regain their dignity without living under the constant threat of shelling,” wrote U.S. First Lady Melania Trump.
The evacuation of residents of occupied Oleshky has now been completed. Yesterday, October 31, Melania Trump publicly commented on its completion for the first time. She supported the evacuation throughout the process.
“Hope for lasting peace. Oleshky proves that we can put humanity above war,” said U.S. President’s wife Melania Trump.
