A Shahed struck a park near a café in the Kharkiv region: six people killed
Among the dead are three children; 14 more people were injured
A Russian strike on Nova Vodolaha in the Kharkiv region claimed the lives of six people, including three children. A Shahed drone hit a park near an ordinary café—striking people directly. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted photos of the aftermath on his Telegram channel and called the attack an act of utter barbarism.
Another 14 people were injured, including six children.
“A little girl was killed in her stroller. Her name was Angelina, and she was just over a year old. She was born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna; she died in hospital… The other girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones,” wrote Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The head of state thanked everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps shoot down Shahed drones and missiles, as well as repel Russian assaults.
“These are horrific photographs, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. We must not talk about doing business with Russia while it continues its senseless war. We ask that sanctions against Russia NOT be lifted while the killings continue. We ask America to be strong and to invoke the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask everyone to do everything possible to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killings all this time. The world has enough power to stop the war. It is time to finally use that power against the murderers,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
