A missile strike on Pryluky claimed 14 lives, including four children
The search and rescue operation is ongoing, and the injured are receiving the necessary medical care
Today, October 7, the death toll from Russia’s missile strike on Pryluky in Chernihiv Oblast has risen to 14. The updated figure was announced by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Russian forces attacked the city at around 06:00. One of the strikes hit a residential five-story building directly. People were inside at the time of the attack.
Before the death toll was updated, Chernihiv Regional Military Administration head Viacheslav Chaus wrote:
“The Russians killed 13 of our people, including four children. More than 50 people were injured.”
The search-and-rescue operation is still underway. Rescuers, police officers, medical personnel, and other emergency services are clearing the rubble, dealing with the aftermath of the attack, and helping those affected. The injured are receiving the medical care they need.
