A route minibus collided with a cyclist in the Mykolaiv region
A cyclist was hospitalized with bodily injuries near Voskresenske
On the evening of September 14 on the highway “Dnipro — Mykolaiv” near the settlement of Voskresenske, a route minibus «Ruta» collided with a cyclist. The accident occurred at about 20:20.
The minibus, which was providing passenger transportation, was driven by a 61-year-old man. The cyclist sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized. Passengers who were inside the «Ruta» were not injured.
The cyclist remains under medical supervision. The police are clarifying all circumstances of the road traffic accident and are establishing his identity.
Investigators have opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of traffic safety rules or the operation of transport by persons operating vehicles. The article’s sanction provides for up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
The Department for the Investigation of Transport-Related Crimes of the Investigative Department of the Regional Police Headquarters asks witnesses and other citizens who have information about the circumstances of the accident to contact the numbers 095 456 05 08 or 102.
