In Mykolaiv, an 18-year-old man was storing psychotropic drugs for distribution
The court remanded the suspect in custody
In Mykolaiv, law enforcement officers exposed an 18-year-old man suspected of illegally possessing a large quantity of psychotropic substances for further sale. The court ordered pre-trial detention as his preventive measure.
According to the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, on August 19 investigators searched the young man’s apartment in the Zavodskyi district of Mykolaiv. During the investigative action they seized bags containing psychotropic substances.
“Among the seized items is the particularly dangerous psychotropic substance 4-MMC weighing 43.4 g. According to the investigation, the suspect stored the psychotropics for further sale,” the prosecutor’s office reported.
In addition to the substances, law enforcement found scales, packaging materials and other means that could have been used for packing.
The young man has been charged under Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Earlier, as part of the nationwide special operation «Rubicon» in the Mykolaiv region, law enforcement detained three men. They are accused of cultivating, storing and selling drugs.
