In Pivdennoukrainsk, the court imposed a preventive measure on the female suspect
In Pivdennoukrainsk in the Mykolaiv region, investigators have notified a 45-year-old local resident of suspicion. According to the investigation, she sold the particularly dangerous psychotropic substance PVP to a narrow circle of acquaintances.
The circumstances of the case were established by investigators and operatives of Police Station No. 3 of the Voznesensk District Police Department under the procedural guidance of the Yuzhnoukrainsk Department of the Voznesensk District Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the pre-trial investigation, the woman purchased the psychotropic substance in advance and then sold it to acquaintances.
After another sale, the suspect was detained in procedural order in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
During a sanctioned search at the suspect’s place of residence, police found and seized paper packets with powdery PVP, glass devices with residues of a substance of unknown origin, smoking devices, a mobile phone and cash.
All seized items were sent for the appropriate examinations.
Investigators notified the woman of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — illegal acquisition, storage and sale of psychotropic substances, committed repeatedly. The article’s penalty provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Currently the court has imposed a preventive measure on the suspect. Law enforcement officers are establishing the supply routes of the psychotropic substances to the woman and other persons who may be involved in the illegal activity. The pre-trial investigation continues.
