The Kyiv—Mykolaiv train took 16 hours instead of the scheduled nine hours
A female passenger recounted a lengthy journey amid air-raid alerts and the threat of attacks
A passenger on the Kyiv—Mykolaiv route train told about a 16-hour trip instead of the planned nine. A video of her account spread on social networks, in particular on Instagram, and sparked active discussion among Ukrainians.
According to the passenger, the trip’s duration increased due to numerous air raid alerts and the threat of attacks. In comments users stressed that the main thing is that she arrived at her destination alive and unharmed. Some people advised taking a bus next time.
Another passenger of the same train wrote in the comments that the trip was “horrible.”
Train stops during air raid alerts are made for the safety of passengers in case of the threat of enemy attacks. Because of this, travel time can increase significantly.
When planning trips, passengers are advised to take possible delays into account and allow additional time for the journey.
Earlier there were also reports about an attack on a passenger train in the Mykolaiv region and photos of its aftermath.
